History has released new artwork for the upcoming fifth season of its hit show Vikings.
The image, which you can view below, features some of the show's main characters, including Katheryn Winnick as Lagertha and Alex Høgh Andersen as Ivar the Boneless, in a bloody battle that hints at the alliances and betrayals that await these characters in Season 5.
Vikings returns for another 20-episode split season on November 29 at 9pm ET/PT. The season will begin with Ivar the Boneless asserting his leadership over the Great Heathen Army after killing his brother, Sigurd. Meanwhile, Lagertha reigns as Queen of Kattegat and Ragnar’s sons plan their next moves after avenging their father's death.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers joins the series as crazed zealot Bishop Heahmund, along with former WWE champ Adam "Edge" Copeland as Ketill Flatnose.
Season 5 also stars Alexander Ludwig, Peter Franzén, Jordan Patrick Smith, and Gustaf Skarsgård.
