OVERWATCH HALLOWEEN EVENT 2017 UPDATE 6:

OVERWATCH HALLOWEEN EVENT 2017 UPDATE 5:
The Overwatch Twitter team are still remaining coy on that start time.
Asked for a specific Halloween Terror start time, Blizzard told Twitter followers: "As with most events, we do not have any exact timing details to share."
A follow-up tweet said: "We don't have any exact timing details to share."
But as we've mentioned before, we're certain it's coming any second now, so stay tuned.
OVERWATCH HALLOWEEN EVENT 2017 UPDATE 4:
It's 6PM UK Time and that means the Spooky Overwatch Halloween event for 2017 is nearly upon us.
Blizzard has favoured releasing their events, new content, trailer and patch notes somewhere between the hours of 6PM and 7PM.
There's still no official release time from Blizzard, so keep those eyes peeled for an announcement any second now.
The event also has the potential to drop some serious updates and changes to some main characters.
Blizzard rolled out a new patch to the Overwatch PTR last week and whilst it brought a number of changes to several characters, Mercy was the worse character hit – specifically her Resurrect ability.
There was also major changes for Junkrat, Genji, D.va and Sombra, but it remains to be seen if these changes will be rolled out later today with the update.
Stay tuned for more details...
OVERWATCH HALLOWEEN EVENT 2017 UPDATE 3:
We could be expecting to see more skins than we expected when the Overwatch Halloween Terror 2017 event goes live later today.
We have so far seen 5 skins leaked or confirmed by Blizzard: Mei, Symmetra, McCree, Zenyatta and Reaper all have confirmed skins - but usually, events drop between 7 and 12 skins, meaning there are at least 2 more we have left to see.
But there may also be more this time around - Sombra, Doomfist and Orisa weren't around this time last year, so never had a chance to get their spooky skins... maybe Blizzard is going to take this opportunity to give these heroes more skins to get them up to speed with characters that have been in the game longer.
We expect to find out for sure within the next 2 or 3 hours.
See the galleries below to see which skins have leaked so far, and what we're comparing the number too (the Summer Games event this year saw 7 new skins added to the game, for example).
OVERWATCH HALLOWEEN EVENT 2017 UPDATE 2:
We're expecting the Overwatch Halloween 2017 update to go live within the next three or four hours.
This is because, typically, Overwatch events go live around this time - the Summer Games Event and the last Halloween Terror event also went live between 6pm and 7pm UK time.
We're getting very close to the event, and there's still no official word from Blizzard about when we can expect to see the event roll out, so expect it later rather than sooner.
OVERWATCH HALLOWEEN EVENT 2017 UPDATE:
Ahead of Overwatch's second Halloween event going live, Blizzard may have leaked that a new Overwatch game in development.
According to a listing for an intern, Blizzard is looking for someone to work on the new game who has 'familiarity with Overwatch'.
The position is listed for a place in the studio's Incubation department - a place where new ideas and new games are created and developed in their early stages.
Though it has no impact on the launch of today's event, it's interesting to note that Blizzard is developing new projects for the Overwatch brand, rather than just continuing to keep the first game alive with updates like today's Halloween Terror event.
You can read all about the event - and see all the skins leaked so far - above.
Overwatch players on PS4, Xbox One and PC don't have long to wait until the start of the games next event, as the countdown until the start of the Overwatch Halloween 2017 event is now on.
Blizzard's returning Halloween event has a release date of October 10 (today!) and will remain in the game until November 2.
Typically past Overwatch events have all started at the same time and we see no reason Blizzard will deviate from their usual procedure.
Assuming Blizzard stick to their usual release schedule for events like the Summer Games, Winter Wonderland and more, then we suspect today's Halloween Terror Event will start somewhere between 6pm and 7pm UK BST start time.
While details about the event are pretty limited for the time being, there are plenty of details we can be sure of based on past events and the recent return for the Summer Games 2017 event.
Firstly, it's likely the game will launch with a big update and patch notes released shortly after, there's also going to be a return for the Junkenstein's Revenge game mode, but with one or two small tweaks.
There's also a new collection of Legendary Overwatch skins to commemorate the new Overwatch Halloween 2017 event, some of which have already leaked over the weekend.
From the teaser and leaks we know already that there are new skins for McCree, Reaper, Mei, Symmetra and Zenyatta. Whether this is all of them or more are planned remains to be seen.
But, if Halloween Terror is anything like the 2017 Summer Games event, then Blizzard will almost certainly bring back all of last year's skins at a cheaper price.
You can check out all the new, leaked and returning Overwatch Halloween 2017 skins in the gallery below...
As we've mentioned, Blizzard re-introduced the Summer Games event earlier this year and based on that event we should have a decent understanding of how they might handle the reintroduction of the Halloween Terror event skins.
During the Overwatch Summer Games 2017 event, skins were available to unlock via the credits system.
As an added bonus, the old skins introduced last year were also available at a slightly cheaper price.
Classic Summer Games skins cost 1,000 credits, instead of the 3,000 credits it usually takes to unlock limited Legendary skins. The new skins were sold at 3,000 credits.
New Summer Games 2017 cosmetic items were valued at 3,000 for Legendary Skins, 750 credits for Epic skins, 225 credits for Rare tier items and 75 credits for common tier items.
That's compared to returning Legendary skins at 1,000 credits, 2016 Epic skins for 250 credits, last year's Rare tier items for 75 credits and 2016 Common tier items for just 25 credits.
We suspect and assume Blizzard will use a similar structure for their new and returning Halloween skins.
"Team up with three other players and face off against a host of eerie enemies, including Dr. Junkenstein himself, Junkenstein's Monster, the Reaper, a mysterious witch, and host of shambling zomnics," reads last year's Halloween Terror blog post.
"This terrifying tale follows Dr. Jamison Junkenstein, an inventor and scientist who was once employed by the Lord of Adlersbrunn.
"Junkenstein's dream was to create artificial life, but the Lord of Adlersbrunn mocked the scientist and his creations, calling him a fool and dismissing him from service.
"Slighted, Junkenstein vowed to prove the lord wrong, and when an unexpected visitor showed up and offered the key to perfecting his creation, Junkenstein’s Monster was born.
"Now Junkenstein plans his revenge against the Lord of Adlersbrunn, and only four heroes stand in the way."
The Summer Games 2017 event didn't change all too much from last year, with very small minor changes to the gameplay format. There was also a new arena in Sydney, so it's possible we'll have a new map to keep
There was also a new arena in Sydney, so it's possible we'll have a new map to keep Junkenstein's Revenge feeling fresh for returning players.
Stay tuned for more info about the event throughout the day.
