Manchester United are leading the race to sign Paris St-Germain winger Lucas Moura, according to the bookies.
BetStars’ Ian Marmion said: “United have emerged as the 6/4 favourites with BetStars to sign Moura who has slipped down the pecking order at the Parc de Princes.
“The 25-year-old has been a long-term target for United, with Sir Alex Ferguson eyeing up a move for the winger back in 2012, and now the Red Devils looked primed to finally get their man in January.
“Inter Milan are also in the hunt for Moura and can be backed at 6/1 to hijack United’s deal, while Chelsea and Roma are both priced at 12/1 to make a swoop for the Brazilian midfielder.”
Jose Mourinho believes United have suffered over the festive period because he does not have ‘good friends in the right chairs’ like his rival managers.
After their 2-0 win over Everton on New Year’s Day, Mourinho told beIN Sports: "The answer is always the same.
"You television companies make the decisions and we have to accept.
“I believe you make the decisions but I also believe that some clubs, or some managers, have good friends in the right chairs and I don't have them."
GETTYMan Utd full-back Matteo Darmian is attracting interest in Italy
United full-back Matteo Darmian is attracting interest from several Serie A clubs, according to the player’s agent Tullio Tinti.
Tinti has rebuffed recent reports linking Darmian with Roma and says the defender has not been put up for sale this month.
"I have never received calls from Roma for the player,” Tinti told Rete Sport.
“There are contacts with other Serie A teams, but not with the Giallorossi. For the moment, the boy is not for sale.”
