ARSENAL 6-0 BATE

FT: A thoroughly entertaining evening's work put in from Arsenal. They finish top of the group and they've ended this stage of the competition in style. Goals from Debuchy, Walcott, Wilshere, Giroud, Elneny and a comical own goal did the damage.

Greater challenges lie ahead - but this "B" team are a match for anyone at this level.

88: Who said the Europa League doesn't matter? Try telling that to Elneny....

Two minutes of added time.

ARSENAL 6-0 BATE

84: Holding chips a ball over the top for Giroud, who is through on goal. But he's about three yards offside. Chance lost.

ARSENAL 6-0 BATE

80: Pace has dropped considerably now. Signevich makes a nice run in behind Chambers but his cross is slid clear by Holding.

GOAL!! ARSENAL 6-0 BATE (Elneny, 74)

Oh yes. This is the pick of the goals.

Wilshere fakes to shoot on the edge of the box before rolling the ball to Elneny who opens his body up and curls a majestic effort straight into the top corner. He made it look easy - but it was anything but. Stunner.

73: Giroud gets his goal. Carrying a little holiday weight too - by the look of things.

71: SUB! Nelson is on. Walcott replaced.

Lewis Jones moderator 5pts

ARSENAL 5-0 BATE

69: SAVE! Stasevich backs into Elneny and turns up in the box. He takes a snap-shot but it's straight at Ospina, who holds on.

Despite being 5-zip down, BATE are pushing on. They'll be space for Arsenal to work with if they can find that key pass.

ARSENAL 5-0 BATE

67: BLOCK! BATE get up the pitch and throw men forward. Signevich takes on the half-volley from 18 yards. Chambers sticks his body in the way. He wants his clean sheet.

GOAL!! ARSENAL 5-0 BATE (Giroud pen, 64)

Walcott gets felled by Rios - perhaps a bit soft, but when your luck's out.

Giroud steps up and pings a sensational penalty into the top corner. Nope. The referee wants him to take it again as Coquelin was encroaching. No problem, says Giroud, who strokes the second penalty into the same corner. He's all smiles.

ARSENAL 4-0 BATE

63: PENALTY TO ARSENAL!

Lewis Jones moderator 5pts

ARSENAL 4-0 BATE

61: SHOT! So much space for Giroud to work in. He cuts in off the left and tries to bend one from 20 yards. Miles over.

Wilshere continuing to impress with his forward passing.

ARSENAL 4-0 BATE

58: SAVE! Welbeck wriggles into space inside the area. The goalkeeper comes charging out to narrow the angle and does enough to block the ball away, taking one full in the face.

ARSENAL 4-0 BATE

56: Giroud looks keen to get in on the act. He digs a shot out of nothing from 20 yards. It's deflected wide. The corner is cleared.

GOAL!! ARSENAL 4-0 BATE (Polyakov OG, 53)

LOL.

This sums up the visitors night so far. Walcott skips away down the right and fires in a low cross towards Welbeck. The BATE defender reads the cross but facing his own goal decides to thump it into the net from 10 yards. Brilliant finish. Wrong net.

ARSENAL 3-0 BATE

51: This officially is the lowest attendance recorded for an Arsenal game at The Emirates. Less than 30,000 here - although those not here have missed out on an entertaining performance from the hosts.

Lewis Jones moderator 5pts

ARSENAL 3-0 BATE

48: Clear instructions from the visiting manager to his squad at half-time: get tighter. Berezkin clatters into Wilshere and is lucky not to have picked up a booking.

45: Here we go. The two teams are back out. Can Arsenal add to their tally?

PRICE BOOSTS

Sky Bet go 18/1 about a Walcott hat-trick and 9/2 for a 5-0 Arsenal win, all part of their half-time Price Boosts selection. It's 100/30 that Giroud gets involved by scoring next while you can get 6/1 on a Wilshere brace.

HT: About as one-sided as you can get there. Arsenal have been in full control and backed it up with goals. Debuchy, Walcott and Wilshere all on target. England ruling all in Europe again - it's getting a bit boring, eh? Maybe not.

Lewis Jones moderator 5pts

GOAL!! ARSENAL 3-0 BATE (Wilshere, 44)

The home fans get what they paid for: they and Wilshere will have enjoyed this. It's his first goal for two and a half years.

The ball drops to him about 18 yards out and he quickly moves it onto his left boot. Bang. He scorches one through the hands of the goalkeeper. Nice moment.

ARSENAL 2-0 BATE

42: SAVE!! Wilshere finds space about 25 yards out. The crowd scream "shoot" - he accepts the invitation. Scherbitsky reads what he's going to go though and flicks the ball over the crossbar.

Lewis Jones moderator 5pts

ARSENAL 2-0 BATE

40: OFF THE LINE!! Arsenal could do a Liverpool here. They are battering this lot. Walcott finds space at the back post and just has the goalkeeper to beat. Out of nowhere though, Polyakov sprints back to slide Walcott's effort from the goal-line.

Lewis Jones moderator 5pts

GOAL!! ARSENAL 2-0 BATE (Walcott, 37)

Welbeck bursts into the box down the left. He only has one man to beat but mis-controls his opportunity. Milunovic has a chance to clear but spoons the ball straight to Walcott about 10 yards out - he's not missing from there, firing low into the bottom corner.

Arsenal loving life.

33: Wilshere has looked in good nick, linking well with Giroud and Walcott.

Lewis Jones moderator 5pts

ARSENAL 1-0 BATE

30: BATE haven't managed to get out of their half for about 15 minutes. Welbeck tries to find Giroud with a chipped cross but the final ball is lacking.

ARSENAL 1-0 BATE

28: FREE-KICK! Wilshere wins a free-kick on the edge of the area with a nice change of pace. Walcott steps up.....

He goes for the bottom corner....but whips it just wide.

Lewis Jones moderator 5pts

ARSENAL 1-0 BATE

26: SAVE! Scherbitsky again! Giroud wins a high ball and spots the run of Walcott. He's only six yards out and should score...but the goalkeeper makes himself big and toes the ball over the crossbar. Super stop.

Lewis Jones moderator 5pts

ARSENAL 1-0 BATE

25: SAVE!! Wilshere is having a brilliant few minutes. He spins a ball over the top for Giroud to attack. Polyakov wins the header but sends it towards his own goal....Scherbitsky scrambles and turns it around the post.

Lewis Jones moderator 5pts

ARSENAL 1-0 BATE

23: Great ball by Wilshere down the left for Welbeck to chase. The goalkeeper Scherbitsky has a bit of a brain freeze and comes charging off his line despite there being two defenders around Welbeck.

He gets away with it. Welbeck tries to dribble around him but the goalkeeper just does enough outside his area.

Lewis Jones moderator 5pts

ARSENAL 1-0 BATE

20: Welbeck tries to sprint away down the left but takes a tumble. He looks at the referee but nothing given.

Here's Debuchy celebrating his opener - even he looks surprised.

Lewis Jones moderator 5pts

ARSENAL 1-0 BATE

18: YELLOW! BATE clear the corner and try to break. Volodjko paces down the left but overruns the ball. He tries to make up for his poor touch but clatters late into Debuchy. Clear booking.

Lewis Jones moderator 5pts

ARSENAL 1-0 BATE

16: It's all Arsenal. Welbeck feeds Maitland-Niles on the left wing. His cross is cleared for a corner....

Lewis Jones moderator 5pts

ARSENAL 1-0 BATE

13: Arsenal enjoying themselves in the final third. Coquelin flicks the ball away from his opposite number and the crowd cheer. His final ball can't quite find Giroud, but tasty stuff.

GOAL!! ARSENAL 1-0 BATE (Debuchy, 11)

Nope, this isn't a typo.

Walcott hustles into space inside the area. Milunovic comes crashing in with a tackle and it drops to the French full-back about 20 yards out. He wastes no time smashing a first-time effort into the top corner.

You could say it was a De-beautiful strike. Or not.

Lewis Jones moderator 5pts

ARSENAL 0-0 BATE

10: OUCH! Walcott catches a half-volley sweetly and Milunovic takes it straight in the mush. He goes down like he's been hit by an Anthony Joshua right hand! He's up OK.

Lewis Jones moderator 5pts

ARSENAL 0-0 BATE

8: Very flat feel to this game. Passes going astray. Debuchy tries to dink one down the line for Walcott but it rolls out for a goal kick.

SHOT! A long ball causes a few problems for Chambers. It drops to Ivanic about 20 yards out. He goes for it...two yards over. Nice strike, mind.

Lewis Jones moderator 5pts

ARSENAL 0-0 BATE

5: POST!! Walcott flicks a header down the line and Arsenal work space. Giroud tees up Elneny about 20 yards out. He takes on the half-volley but it skids off the surface and skims the outside of the post.

Lewis Jones moderator 5pts

ARSENAL 0-0 BATE

3: Sloppy start by Arsenal. Gordejchuk finds space down the right and BATE fill the box. The ball bobbles around the box, deflects off Holding and into the arms of Ospina.
