“NASA has confirmed that the Earth will experience 15 days of total darkness”'Charles Boden'
With the winter solstice well on its way, days are becoming darker and darker.
But a bogus online theory claims that the whole world will be going completely dark for more than two weeks this month.
Conspiracy theorists claim that an “astronomical event between Jupiter and Venus” will block out all of the Earth's sunlight.

According to so-called experts, Jupiter and Venus are set to collide on Monday.
With the two brightest planets in our solar system appearing to be on a collision course, the planets could even be visible from the naked eye.
A statement, claiming to be from NASA official Charles Boden, confirmed the world would be plunged into darkness from November 15 and November 29.

It read: “NASA has confirmed that the Earth will experience 15 days of total darkness between November 15 and November 29, 2015. The event, according to NASA, hasn’t occurred in over 1 Million years.
“Astronomers from NASA have indicated that the world will remain in complete darkness starting on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 3am, and will end on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 4:15 p.m.
“According to officials, the “November Black Out” event will be caused by another astronomical event between Venus and Jupiter.”
Although Charles Boden is a real NASA official, this statement was confirmed as a fake.
Despite this, conspiracy theorists and YouTubers have picked up on this and preparing for darkness for half of the month.
NASA is yet to respond to rumours this year, but denied that it would happen in 2015 due to a solar storm.
