FORECAST IN DETAIL
Just mentioning Irma is getting under my skin (derma?). But, alas, what is left of it is likely to keep us on the cloudy, humid side much of today, with the possibility of a passing shower. We don’t look likely to shake humidity through the weekend, but shower chances become much more limited. So, a green light for outdoor activities.
Today (Thursday): Early morning showers are more likely a heavy drizzle, typical of dying tropical systems. Shower chances are likely to dwindle by midday but can never be ruled out. There is an outside chance for a bolt of lightning or two with any late afternoon showers. Winds are light from the southwest. Highs in the upper 70s to near 80 sound good but humidity detracts some from the comfort level. Confidence: Medium-High
Tonight: Scattered showers and thundershowers remain possible in the evening but should let up. Late at night, some breaks in the clouds are likely. Winds are minimal, and lows are in the 60s. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Friday): Clouds are plentiful through the day, but there are enough breaks to brighten the place up. Highs are warm into the upper 70s to lower 80s. A lack of breeze and moderate humidity are a reminder that we are still on the early side of fall. An isolated light shower is possible, but most stay dry. Confidence: Medium-High
Tomorrow night: Partly clouds skies are unlikely to produce a shower overnight. Winds remain calm and humidity moderate. Most areas fall into the 60s but could hold at 70 downtown. Confidence: Medium
A LOOK AHEAD
Saturday looks to be a little sunnier but still can’t rule out an isolated shower, mainly late day. Highs are mainly in the lower 80s and with moderate humidity, ever-so-slightly uncomfortable. Overnight is partly cloudy with lows in the mid- to upper 60s. Confidence: Medium
Partly sunny skies Sunday/Monday allow temps to climb to the summery side with highs in the low to mid-80s. Overnight lows are comfortable in the mid- to upper 60s. Confidence: Medium
