Bella Thorne's mom has denied any knowledge of the shocking sexual abuse that the actress says devastated her childhood - and says she needs therapy herself to ‘process’ the revelations.
Former Disney star Bella took to Instagram Sunday alleging that she had been repeatedly molested in her own bedroom but declining to say who the perpetrator was.
'I was sexually abused and physically growing up from the day I can remember till I was 14...when I finally had the courage to lock my door at night and sit by it,' she wrote.
'All damn night. Waiting for someone to take advantage of my life again. Over and over I waited for it to stop and finally it did.' The 20-year-old later added in a Tweet: 'I never knew what was right or wrong growing up..I didn't know the person sneaking into my bed room at night was a bad person,'
Speaking today from her Los Angeles home, Bella's mom Tamara Thorne said it was the first time she had ever heard about the shocking abuse that allegedly happened under her roof.

Bella grew up in the Pembroke Pines suburb of Miami and lost her Cuban father Delancey Thorne in a car accident when she was just nine years old.
Tamara relocated the family to LA, where she was raised with her three siblings, half-sister Kaili, Dani, and Remy. Dani, 24,and Kaili, 25, are also actresses while 22-year-old Remy is an MMA fighter.
Their household also included Stephan Muskus, 34, who was taken in by Tamara and Delancey as a young boy and was treated like a second son, according to family members.
Bella's maternal uncle James Beckett, 42, told DailyMail.com her father would be 'turning over in his grave' to hear that that one of his daughters had been abused, especially in her own home.
'Delancey would never stand for that. My sister would never have allowed it. We had never heard about any of this before now,' said Beckett, who previously ran a removals company for Delancey.
‘Bella and her sister Dani always slept in the same room. Dani would have to know about this too.

‘Me and Delancey would joke that we’d need an extensive gun collection to deal with the boyfriends when the girls started dating. He was very protective.’
Bella began working as a child actress aged just six, using the money to help support her family as she blossomed into a major star with Disney.
She has spoken previously about her difficult childhood, saying she suffered from dyslexia and was bullied at school for speaking Spanish.
The 'Famous in Love’ actress first hinted at the sexual abuse in December when someone Tweeted her to say: 'What did Disney do to this girl?! I think she was molested?'
Bella replied with the cryptic message: 'Yeah I was. So it wasn’t Disney.'
Her latest revelations came Sunday night ahead of the Golden Globes, where attendees dressed head to toe in black to show solidarity for the Time’s Up movement taking a stand against sexual harassment.
The Instagram message also called on other sex abuse victims to bravely share their own traumas, adding: 'Some of us aren't as lucky to get out alive. Please today stand up for every soul Mistreated. #timesup' Fans responded with an outpouring of support prompting Bella to post a tearful video in Twitter telling them to 'fucking stay strong - I love you guys.'
She added in an Instastory video Monday: 'I'm on Twitter reading about all the people sharing sexual abuse stories with me from mine and I just want to say I'm really proud of all you guys. Stay strong, peace, I love you guys.'
