There's One Thing You Never Knew About Reese's Pieces

I CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH.

As you may know, Reese's Pieces are already a controversial candy, because people cannot agree on the pronunciation.

For the record, it rhymes with "pieces," not "CiCi's".

But what you may not know is that these tiny droplets of heaven DON'T HAVE CHOCOLATE IN THEM.

CRAZY, RIGHT?

They share a name with the world's greatest ~CHOCOLATE~ candy, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, so... Why? WHY???

Hersheys / Via hugsandcookiesxoxo.com

The candies were invented 50 YEARS apart (Peanut Butter Cups in 1928 and Pieces in 1978). Why on EARTH would they share a name if they don't share one of the TWO main ingredients??? And HOW are Reese's Pieces so delicious without chocolate???

More importantly, how have I never noticed this before?
