The Voice UK 2018: Fans FURIOUS with show over frustrating format ‘For f**k sake’

THE VOICE UK viewers were left fuming with the show during tonight’s episode, after one disappointing decision.

The ITV reality series aired its second episode tonight, but the first segment flew by so quickly that fans were left crest-fallen when the first advert break had already rolled around after just 12 minutes.

To make matters worse, viewers were only treated to one act and the judges chatting about the evening before they were forced to sit through commercials for another five minutes.

First to try and impress the judges in a blind audition was Kade Smith, a 17-year-old window cleaner who joked that he’d dressed similarly to judge Olly Murs with the hope of impressing him.

Kade achieved four turns from the judging panel and decided on the hugely-successful music producer will.i.am to be his mentor, but the all-too-brief performance had fans racing to Twitter to complain.

One act in and we go to commercial. F**k sake

One person wrote: “One act in and we go to commercial. F**k sake. #TheVoiceUK.”

“#TheVoiceUK #TheVoice one audition, ad break. Great,” another fan said.

A third asked: “One song one ad break - is this the way it's gonna be? #TheVoiceUK,” followed by: “So #TheVoiceUK has been on 18 minutes and so far we've had one singer…”

Viewers continued to share their annoyance at the programme, as one person said: “Hope they are not going to keep putting the adverts on after each and every singer #TheVoiceUK #TheVoice.”

“Twenty minutes in and we've heard one audition. At this rate the final will be around Christmas! #TheVoiceUK,” another added.

Later, the episode saw 34-year-old singer Olly get hot-under-the-collar from sizzling female contestant Ivy Paige.

The cabaret and burlesque performer strutted onto stage in a busty red dress and fiery auburn hair, comparing herself to the iconic Who Framed Roger Rabbit? character Jessica Rabbit.

Completely taken aback by the hopeful’s sultry tones and powerful voice, Olly slammed his buzzer before struggling to contain himself in his seat.

As Ivy continued to flirt and tell the presenter that she “wanted him”, Olly even forgot his own name before managing to direct the starlet’s gaze towards the base of his seat.

“Well you have me,” Olly said with a cheeky smile before he suffered a technical blunder. “Oh, my mic has gone.”

“You can share mine,” the contestant brazenly offered, before the show eventually got back to business.

Unimpressed by the seemingly inappropriate exchange, fellow judge Jennifer Hudson took control of the situation, ordering: “Right you get back up there, and you sit down.”

The Voice UK continues Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
