Strictly Come Dancing 2018: Coronation Street's Brooke Vincent sets her sights on line-up

STRICTLY COME DANCING’S latest series has only been off screens for a few weeks, but Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent is already looking to join 2018 line-up.

The 25-year-old actress, who plays Sophie Webster in ITV soap Coronation Street, is one of the final three competing for the title on Dancing On Ice this weekend, but despite the series not being finished yet, Brooke has already set her sights on signing up for the rival show.

While this year's Strictly Come Dancing line-up hasn't been confirmed yet, Brooke spilled: “I’d love to do Strictly, it’s a lovely show."

The brunette revealed that she wanted to take on the ballroom dancing challenge, despite admitting the she hadn't danced before.

The Cobbles favourite referred to Strictly Come Dancing as a different “battle” to her current show Dancing On Ice, and insisted there is less to worry about on the BBC show, such as falling over on the ice.

“I hadn’t been skate trained, but with ice skating, half of your battle is that you’re not going to fall flat on your face," she told The Sun.

“With Strictly, that battle is taken away.”

Last week Brooke won over the public with a showstopping performance to the Spice Girls and an elegant routine to Ariana Grande’s One Last Time with her partner Matej Silecky, scoring the pair their highest points of the series so far.

The Manchester native, who will be up against Jake Quickeneden, 29, and Max Evans, 34, in the final on Sunday, previously spoke about the struggle of balancing working on the cobbles and rehearsing for Dancing On Ice.

“It’s hard,” she told Express.co.uk. "I can’t skate, I’ve been working and nine times out of 10 you get up really early to train. I either go in the middle of work or after work.

"You just want the recognition that you’re getting a little bit better."

The soap star also admitted that her confidence had got better as judges’ comments became more positive in recent weeks.

“I feel like I am getting a little bit better which is a bit of a boost as well,” she added.

Ahead of this weekend’s intense final, which will be hosted by Holly Willoughby, 37, and Philip Schofield, 55, Brooke Vincent previously revealed that she suffered an injury in rehearsals which was close to hurting her face.

When asked if she feared getting on the ice each week, she said: “There is still a fear. Today we fell and as I fell I started to bleed and it was so close to my face.

“He [Matej] panicked for the first time really.

“I fall all the time on my own but when Tej was there he was like, ‘Oh my god.' We got back up and did it again.”
