Remembering the Royal family's festive fashion over the years



Seeing the royal family make their way to church or enjoying country pursuits is as much a part of a very British Christmas as Love Actually and Quality Street.

Over the years, it's also become something of a fashion parade with everyone from The Queen to the Duchess of Cambridge bringing their own take on festive dressing to proceedings. 

Here we look back at some of the most stylish royal festive fashion moments from over the years...

Princess Margaret looked cosy yet elegant in a fit-and-flare coat and whimsical hat as she attended a Christmas music concert in December 1949.

The Queen donned a beautiful brocade dress to deliver her Christmas message in 1957.
