Potato restaurant opens in London with all-you-can-eat roast potatoes for £5

The world's first Roastaurant is here

Is there anything more British than a roast dinner? According to (the perhaps slightly biased) McCain , roast potatoes are one of the nation's favourite foods, so they've created the world's first Roasaurant.

But these aren't just any old potatoes...

McCain is amping up it's roast dinner game by serving up an array of different roast dinner combinations, including unconventional versions that include pigeon with onion rings covered in chocolate gravy, and beef brisket accompanied with a fried egg and a side of charred pineapple.

Diners will also be able to visit a giant self-service McCain Roasts platter and fill their bowls with as many crispy and fluffy McCain roasts and gravy as they’d like.

The new eatery idea stems from new research which reveals that two thirds of the public couldn't give up the Sunday dinner staple, but were testing out new roast dinner combinations such as ketchup, fried eggs and even onion rings.

The roastaurant will be open from 8-10 December at the Old Truman Brewery, and the best thing is, it's all in the name of charity. All ticket proceeds and surplus food from the Roastaurant will be donated to FareShare, the UK’s largest charity fighting hunger and food waste.
