What events are taking place in the UK for International Women's Day?

Tons of different events take place to mark International Women's Day (IWD).

These include marches, fun runs, speaker events, global gatherings, awards, exhibitions, festivals, online events and many more.

Event can be held by charities, women's networks, schools, unis and other communities.

There are set to be tons of IWD events going on across the UK - see what's going on near you below.

Birmingham: Birmingham International Women's Day 2018 Celebration on Saturday 10th March, which is a free event involving a panel of inspirational female changemakers. You can reserve tickets here.

Manchester: Wonder Women Festival 2018, which runs through March and is a programme of exhibitions, tours, debates, performances and one-off screenings.

What is there to do for IWD in London and was there a march?

On Sunday 4th March, women across the capital joined the #March4Women march to mark International Women's Day.

If you missed that, there are still tons of ways to celebrate the day.
