In a storyline that has been brewing since New Year's Day, Aidan Maguire (Patrick Bergin) is set to go head-to-head with Mick, after their recent feud spiralled out of control.
Thinking Mick stole the money from that now-infamous botched heist – which still haunts our dreams – Aidan started dealing drugs out the loos of the Queen Vic, something that Mick didn't take too kindly to.
Issuing a weak threat to Aidan, Mick found himself shaken when Aidan exerted his power by dousing toddler Ollie in petrol.
And while Mick briefly toyed with the idea of quitting the EastEnders cast for good, the pub landlord decided to face his demons, sending his family off to safety before taking Aidan on one-on-one.

But in a shocking twist, it seems Mick may have some back-up after all, after Callum 'Halfway' Highway (Tony Clay) made his comeback to EastEnders tonight.
Fans last saw the slightly dozy Halfway on screens in February, after he stole a ring from Aidan's heist and gave it to Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty), who eventually started to develop feelings for him.
Lest we forget that the ring was found by Shirley (Linda Henry), who pawned it and used the money to save the Queen Vic from closing.
But their blossoming romance was cut short when Halfway was drafted back into the army, leaving Whitney hankering after him.

“What, is he alright?”Halfway
And Halfway made a brief appearance on our screens tonight, when Whitney decided to Skype call him to inform him about the fight.
"You are a sight for sore eyes," he told Whitney, who had done her make-up especially to chat to him through her webcam. "I wish I could massage you."
"I got to tell you something," Whitney said urgently.
"It's about Mick."
BBCCOMEBACK: Could hapless Halfway save the day
"What, is he alright?" Halfway absent-mindedly responded, momentarily distracted by his fellow cadets.
"Yeah, for now." Whitney began, but a rogue pair of used underpants cut the conversation short, with Halfway hastily telling her that he will have to call her back later.
Elsewhere among the EastEnders cast, Shirley caused a shock when a wardrobe malfunction saw her turn "invisible".
EastEnders continues tomorrow at 8pm on BBC One.
