Their turbulent relationship has been plagued with trouble and infidelity in the last three seasons of the BBC series.
But it seems Ross Poldark and wife Demelza are on their way to a happy ending, if the latest pictures that have surfaced from the show filming in Cornwall are anything to go by.
Ross, played by Adrian Turner, and Eleanor Tomlinson's Demelza were seen sharing a warm embrace, while sporting beaming smiles on the sandy beach as they shot new scenes for Poldark's fourth series on Wednesday.

Good news? Ross, played by Adrian Turner, and Eleanor Tomlinson's Demelza were seen sharing a warm embrace as they shot new scenes for Poldark's fourth series in Cornwall
The duo were seen walking arm-in-arm as they made their way across the sand, before stopping to steal an intimate moment together as they pulled each other in close for a hug.
Suggesting all could be well between the on/off pair, Ross is pictured beaming with delight after sharing news with his wife, that she reacts to by throwing her arms around his neck.
Members of the crew were close by and on hand to capture every detail, with it recently being revealed that over 20 crew members are needed in the vicinity for filming to get underway, including the director, sound engineers, camera men, photographers, hair and wardrobe, assistant producers and runners.
Beaming: Taking to the beach on Wednesday, the acting talents continued to tease that a happy ending could be on the cards for their onscreen characters
Eleanor, 25, looked radiant as she set to work with her co-star Aidan, 34. Sporting her fiery red locks in corkscrew curls, she donned a traditional dress and chose to walk bare feet.
Aidan, meanwhile, cut a dapper figure in a dark aubergine coat paired with black trousers and leather boots. He was seen toting his trademark felt hat in one hand.
The show is expected to return in early summer 2018.
And while the filming may be exciting for many fans, it seems to be something of a nuisance for the residents of Wells in Somerset - who complained about production 'taking over' the town during series three filming earlier this ear.

Residents were said to be furious that filming kept them out of their own neighbourhood, with barriers put up around the area to ward off fans.
Small businesses also alleged that production has affected their trade and is stopping deliveries from being placed to their door.
Speaking in February, Julie Lloyd - who owns a cafe opposite where filming took place, told Somerset Live: 'From a business point of view it's not great - we don't get a lot of benefit from it, but it affects us a lot.
Moving on? Demelza sought solace in the arms of naval office Lieutenant Hugh Armitage last series, but the latest pictures from filming suggest she and Poldark are getting back on track
'We've had difficulties getting a delivery through today and this kind of thing happens a lot in Wells - there is no compensation considering the high rates we pay.'
Meanwhile, Ross and Demelza's content display suggests the duo have moved on from their drama of last series, which saw Demelza seek solace in the arms of naval officer Lieutenant Hugh Armitage, played by Burberry model Josh Whitehouse and frolic with him in some sand dunes while her husband headed into battle.
There may have been an element of revenge to the smooch, as it came after Demelza was informed that Ross had only recently kissed Elizabeth Warleggan, his first love and former fiancé.
On/off: Their tumultuous relationship has captivated fans, with the married couple both plagued by their own infidelities
The secret affair followed an impassioned declaration of love by former prisoner of war Lt Armitage, who had been pursuing Demelza in secret and who asked her if she would make love with him after revealing his eyesight was deteriorating.
Viewers saw the scorned wife returning home to Poldark's bed after her tryst with Lt Armitage.
Both looked shaken and slightly ashamed as he took her into his arms - knowing (pretty much) where she'd been, who with, and what they'd been doing but still venturing: 'Demelza may I ask…'
'No, Ross, ask me nothing,' she stopped him, effectively answering the question and completing his humiliation.
