The Biggest Loser: Kroger Tumbles 12.4%

A light forecast sank Kroger shares on Thursday.

Shares of Kroger (KR) fell to the bottom of the S&P 500 Thursday, following its fourth-quarter earnings.

Kroger lost $3.25, to 12.4% to $22.98. The S&P 500 climbed 12.17 points, or 0.45%, to 2738.97.

Kroger's earnings per share matched analysts' estimates, but the midpoint of its forecast was a nickel below analysts' expectations.

Kroger is down 16.3% this year, and has fallen 20.2% in the past 12 months.
